Is this a factory paint job on my hood?

I have never seen a paint combo like this before.

Could this be a factory paint job, or someones repaint idea?

My guess would be a repaint, Some where solid red, though, 308 or something like that.

Repaint, the 308 is the next style hood newer from this one, I have never seen a black hood that the top and front was not solid black.

I thought it may be a repaint but the red looks to be not repainted. If some came with an all red hood

then maybe the black was added.

I really like the looks so I am going to re-do the hood with this paint combo.

Also there is no indication of there ever being any decals on the sides, but I guess these could have

been removed a long time ago and everything faded to the same dull color.

Interesting, I guess with them all red I never noticed they were the next style hood. There is a few guys on here that have restored their black hood and left them all red, and look real nice. It will look good if you redo it just like it is, too.

Ya the 300, 400 and 500 hoods get called the bandit hoods at my house, because the have a black mask over the headlights.
