Hi,

my name is Ewan and I have a C-121 which my dad bought from Neil in Somerset.

I'm starting to take it apart to clean it and then repaint. I will post some pictures soon.

My dad is meadowfield, my grandad is norlett and my uncle is raider 10.

Welcome to Redsquare Ewan

you are in great company here .

Now we just need your Mum to join now then we will have all the family on here.

Im sure with all the help from the rest of the guys you have there with you , you are going to make the C121 a fantastic looking tractor.

I bought the tractor that you have as a parts tractor and & i had it running a couple of times but as you kinow it need quite a lot of work doing to it, So for me it will be a real treat to see it when its done .

I know that your Uncle , Raider 10 made a real nice job of the C105 that he bought from me and that looks amazing when it was done, so im sure that this one is gonna look just as good

Good luck with the project, we like to see loads photos posted on here

Im not sure , but if i remember you are only about 13 or 14 years old ? please remind me .

Welcome to the forum Ewan, and to what is rapidly becoming a family business up there in Yorkshire.

Obviously, you're spoilt for choice when it comes to asking for advice but try to get into the habit of posting some questions on the forum so you get to make new friends on both sides of the Atlantic.

Looking forward to seeing some pics.

Andy

Anglo Traction

Hi Ewan, Welcome. As said, a good strong Tractor. From your pics, you have a better start condition-wise than I have had on

mine.

Enjoy it! and take your time. I don't think it will be long before we see some of Dad's Decals adorning your C-121!.

Regards

Richard,

it might look strong, but the majority of the hoodstand is rotten and will need cutting away. We had to blow torch all he bolts holding the hoodstand on and the rust has expanded the sides and pretty well destroyed it.

As an upside...

thanks to anglotraction for the air filter cover.

thanks to Stig for the cylinder head, points cover and belt guard.

and a kind gentleman from the bay who sold a replacement front axle for £0.99 - though it cost £30 in diesel, and £20 in little chef to collect
:D

It is slowly working it's way through the e tank for cleaning before priming and spraying.

It's going to be a runner - it has run, but it will be a slow process as Ewan saves up for wire wheels and grinding discs

Big chunk out of my axle :(

The electrolysis tank has come in very handy :) especially with the amount of rusty objects there are.

Hi Ewan - great to see you at the show so my guess would be that you'll be hoping to bring your first resto to next year's show then?

Anyway, not sure if your dad's told you but I have a C-121 parts tractor. It wasn't complete when I bought it and I've had some parts off it for my C-100. Some panels are also needed for my 316-8 but that still leaves quite lot of bits which could be made available at very modest prices. Let me know if there there's any bits that are beyond repair on yours and it's possible I may be able to help.

Andy
