I have a Commando 8 with a very noisy Generator. Is it possible to lubricate the bearings ? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks, David

You could try taking the bearings out and lubricate them, but if you are going that far, you might as well just replace them. They are quite inexpensive.

I'm with Bob, they are cheap to replace. I just had my starter/generator rebuilt at my local electric shop for $35 which included new bearings, and brushes. :twocents-02cents:

I ended up taking it apart and the bearings were in good condition, except they were dry. After packing them with grease and installing them WOW what a difference.! Thanks for the excellent advvice to all!
