rallysman 0 #1 Posted July 12, 2008 I'm looking to replace the mechanical pump with an inline universal style pump. My question is, what pressure pump should I shoot for? I'm assuming the lower pressure pump will do the trick, but I want to be sure. (1.5-3.5 PSI) I'm more concerned with functionality than originality, and I'm much more comfortable and familiar with electric pumps. The engine is a 12hp Kohler on a C-120. Thanks for the advice! Jim_M 178 #2 Posted July 12, 2008 That's the pump you want to use if you're going to use an electric pump. Mount it where it won't get too hot, they don't like heat and won't last long if mounted in a hot place. I've used them on 2 D series and a C series with no problems. Fbaggswheelhorse 1 #3 Posted December 19, 2021 The Facet 1.5 -3.5 is the pump I installed in my C-120 and even then you'll have to turn the psi down as far as possible to not over flood your carb. I also installed a regulator with a pressure gage on mine as well. Runs great and starts immediately with 1st turn of the key. So yes, go with the lowest psi pump.
