mounting a v-twin command

Recommended Posts

Ok red square pullers,i've come to the point of mounting my 20hp command on the 414-8 frame, and i'm scratchin' my head on this one. What works best for getting everything to line up properly(sideways, front to back and height)? Thank you in advance for your upcoming wisdom :)

I used a 520 plate and both drivers side bolts lined up perfect, I did have to drill 2 holes through the frame and plate for the pass. side.

Thank you very much guys. I think I can start buildin' and quit scratchin' :). Any others with pics would be welcome too. I learn much from pics(just the way I am). Thanks again.

Make sure you dont go to far to the left side .Because of your clutch pedal will hit fan cover.

Mine is mounted similar to Chris's, except I used 1/4" steel. This is the only pic I could find right now on my computer...

I agree with Matt, these are awesome visual references. With what Chris said and Waynes pic, I'm gettin some good creative juices flowin'. This stuff is so good to know ahead of time. It also keeps the headaches to a minimum :). This Red Square team is a well oiled mow-sheen.(couldn't help that one). If there are more pics, keep'em comin'. Thanks again crew!!
