Callen 64 #1 Posted March 14, 2012 I didn't see a pic of one of these in the model gallery so here they are wish it was a little nicer
Sparky-(Admin) 19,532 #2 Posted March 14, 2012 Thats a nice original specimen you have there. Decals seem intact, the tires look original and I'm almost positive they had those smooth fronts like yours has and 22x7.50x12's on the rear. And it appears that you still have the original Briggs 11 under the hood. Mike................

Callen 64 #11 Posted March 15, 2012 Tim, 1981 was the only year. They celebrated Wheel Horse's 25th anniversary.

SNYFIX 12 #15 Posted March 18, 2012 Did they have a preload bearing on the PTO on them like the other B&S Horizontal models had ?? Man what a PIA that was. Ruined many crank keyways over time.
Smokey Blaze 2 #16 Posted March 18, 2012 I for one don't think you GT 2500 has been reblocked. I also have a WH GT2500 that I purchased from the original owner, who was very meticulous with it, kept it in a heated garage and had it serviced at regular intervals. My GT2500 has its origianl 11 hp Briggs motor, which looks to be the same color as yours. Mine has a 42" rear discharge deck. The GT2500 was a one year only model (1981) and it marked the silver anniversary for Wheel Horse. I believe it came with a small bar of silver as an added attraction. A very similar model was made in 1982 and identified as SB-421.
