Pulling tractors twin engines

Recommended Posts

1maidenfan

Was searching through redsquare checking out pulling tractors. Don't recall seeing a tractor with a twin (2) engine set-up. Are they out there in the garden tractor size? Have seen multiple engine set-up on trucks and big tractors.

Any body have one?

Thanks

Most club's rules only allow one engine.

We had a guy show up last year with a cobbled up p.o.s. with 2 16 horse briggs engines on it. They let him pull in the open class, he had two attempts (like everyone else) to move the sled and couldn't even budge it, he whined and cried until they gave him his entry fee back and we never saw him again.

this tractor pulls in our modified production class(nothing production about it) She is running two 440 polaris snowmobiles it's not the best pic.

we have three others with multi engine tractors

one runs two Polaris 700's

one runs one Polaris 800 with a 700 in front

and another that runs a 700 and 800 skidoo

I have all the parts to build one but I think I'm going to build a diesel.

My buddy Packrat built a 1963 Wheel Horse with 2-7 Hp. Kohler engines that were rebuilt from the ground up. He also converted the transmission to the desirable 6 Speed Uni-Drive Transmission. He wanted this to look like it came out of the WH Factory and it turned out very nice! Alot of custom fabrication went into this machine. He calls this a Model # 7763, for the 2-7 Hp Kohler engines, 6 speed trans and being from 1963. We took it up to the Findlay Ohio Tractor Show last year for it's debut. It was received very well by other collectors. Here is our set up at the Centerburg Farming Days Show last year. The Dual 'Horse is on the far left side. Sorry the pics turned out too small, I'll have to figure this out later...How does it look fella's? Thanks...Hammerhead

I'd Love to make it to the Findlay show someday considering I grew up in Tiffin 30 miles away but it always conflicts with something else I think last year it was the same weekend as Charlotte or maybe it was the one in Mason
