A search for sickle mower parts

A good friend of mine called early last week in search of knives and guards for a Sears tractor-mounted sickle bar mower. He knows I have the SMS-425, but since it came with a few spare knives and rivets (and I really don't use it much) I have never had to purchase any new parts.

We came to the conclusion that one company must have manufactured the knives and guards for quite a few of the brands back in the 60's and 70's (like Haban and Didier), and a search by his brother turned up interchangeable parts for the "2 inch cutting system" models through Jari. I'm pretty sure some of these parts will fit the OEM WH mowers too.

I did a quick search and found a dealer headquartered in Latham, NY by the name of Grassland Equipment and Irrigation Corporation that handles Jari parts. (Also a Toro dealer!)
