118lfd 8 #3 Posted September 14, 2011 I used a couple of concrete blocks for weight but it really worked better with no weight. With the blocks it tore up the lawn more and without the weight it just dethatched.
jpmcleod 4 #4 Posted September 14, 2011 My neighbor gave me one of those along with a rotary broom with leaf bag. Both are like brand new and I probally will never use either as I have a country yard. Maybe I should try mine just to see it work. Looks good behind that tractor. Brrly1 1,146 #5 Posted September 14, 2011 Looks like one of those craftsman. I also have one, they work very well. Use every spring and fall. I also tried the brick but like you said it works quite well without. :banghead:

sned 15 #7 Posted September 14, 2011 The craftsman ones break but I just reweld it when I am done. I like using it with weights. I noticed where it shredded my lawn the grass grew back better and greener.
