I used a couple of concrete blocks for weight but it really worked better with no weight. With the blocks it tore up the lawn more and without the weight it just dethatched.

My neighbor gave me one of those along with a rotary broom with leaf bag. Both are like brand new and I probally will never use either as I have a country yard.

Maybe I should try mine just to see it work. Looks good behind that tractor.

Looks like one of those craftsman. I also have one, they work very well. Use every spring and fall. I also tried the brick but like you said it works quite well without. :thumbs2:

The craftsman ones break but I just reweld it when I am done. I like using it with weights. I noticed where it shredded my lawn the grass grew back better and greener.

Dethatcher was 99 bucks from lowes. 42 inches wide.

Wheel weights are homemade

you can get a dethatcher att. to fit the front of the agra-fab or craftsman sweeper. i use mine twice a year & hang the att. on the wall the rest of the time.
