kj4kicks 151 #1 Posted June 15, 2008 Well guys, making a run to TT's place tomorrow night for an undercover Wagon Train run. I hit his "pile" pretty hard last time, and he likes these little machines (or what's left of them). Safety first here: I used a heavy chain, and didn't stop for pics until it was safely over the truck bed.
BairleaFarm 339 #2 Posted June 15, 2008 Look at you and your tow straps. I just trough junk and the bead and hope GM installed great tail gate latched on my bed. :WRS:
TT-(Moderator) 1,127 #3 Posted June 15, 2008 I'm thrilled to see those ratchet straps securing that precious cargo! 20 years ago the fine for an unsecured load was $37.50 (Mack R model pulling a 27' Fruehauf dump trailer with defective tailgate latches. ) It's 20 years later and you might as well figure on moving the decimal two places to the right. $10 worth of ratchet straps and the 3 minutes it takes to install them is PRICELESS! :D
chevelletown 37 #4 Posted June 15, 2008 Always use several good straps, why I've herd stories of Cub Cadets jumping off trailers full of Wheel Horse stuff. The fine in MI for unsecured load is $167.00.
