Snowthrower 37" 1970-1973 6-6212 1-stage Basic unit Requires 6-9111, 6-9112 or 6-9113 completing pkg for long frame tractors.

Your completeing package is 6-9111 or 6-9112. The 6-9113 fits the front quick hitch first used in 1973.

Your ID plate shows a 6 following the 6-6212. Subtract 5 from 6 = 1971 model year.

No point in :woohoo: when you can either rework the existing hitch on the thrower or install the "correct" one to work with the Attach-Matic front hitch. :D

With the exception of gauge wheels vs. skids, the thrower you have isn't really much different then the newer ones. It's also the widest single-stage you'll find - you just need the extension plates ("wings") to make it 42".

I know it's entirely your decision, but (other than cosmetics) your thrower looks to be in decent condition - and you already own it. :woohoo:

TT that's true i do already have it and it is in good shape mechanically.

where can i get the correct hook up to use it on my 414-8.

are they available new or would i have to search for a used one?.

maybe i could find one used and trade some stuff for it.

thanks for your input and knowledge on this.
