jawz41 0 #1 Posted July 5, 2011 Would like to pull a 27 foot camping trailer with a 1988 312-8 into a building with a slight grade. Any experience with this? I do not want to break the hitch/rearend.
The Toolman 22 #2 Posted July 5, 2011 I'd worry more about stopping it!!!!! I don't think the camper has that much tongue weight, does it?

Don1977 604 #4 Posted July 5, 2011 The tractor should pull it most anywhere as said above stopping is the problem. I was pulling a 1500 lb. trailer up a 20 some degree grade with my C-120. It pulled up the grade, but when I stopped on that grade it drug the tractor backward with the brakes locked. Not Fun!
tunahead72 2,332 #5 Posted July 5, 2011 Sounds dangerous to me. What's this camper weigh, and what's the tongue weight? What's a "slight" grade? You pulling it up or down into the building? And how far? Be careful, whatever you decide! And :woohoo:
Forest Road 594 #6 Posted July 7, 2011 I'd advise against it. Solely out of concern for your safety. However, if you're going to disregard or warnings. Make sure the breakaway for the trailer brakes works. Do the trailer brakes work? Use that as an oh s@@t button.
