48 inch deck

It will fit, but 48" is big for a 312, the 312 would do better with a 42" deck, but yes it will work on your 312.

It'll fit but might be a bit much on your 12hp motor.

I'm with Karl...find a 42"er.

Mike..........

I have a really nice 42" that would fit right on there. Where are you located?

Don't know how I got on this thread so late.

But currently I am useing a 48" commercial deck on my 312A.....

It's only temporary till I get my 42"RD deck done or buy a 520 for my 48" deck... :WRS:

But I can say thet the 312 will pull it...but don't let it get to long & don't hurry it.

The 312's "especially with hydro's" are much better suited to the 42,37 or 36 inch decks.

I'm in Akron Ohio.

My horse is an 8 speed. Thought about getting a hydro because when mowing 2nd is too slow and 3rd is too fast.

My grass is not thick, but I do mow up hill a lot and sometimes the engine strains a little going up hill. The 37 inch deck I have now cuts nice, but has a tendency to leave a strip in the middle. I think the blades are too short. They are only 18 1/4 which I think is shorter than the replacement OEM blades I saw. Don't know where these came from. We are the only owners of the tractor so my dad or brother probably replaced them at some point.

Are you coming to the show in June? I can bring it along there for you if you're interested.
