My machine shop can't find any info on the valve spring height and pressure, can anybody provide this info for me.

Thanks, Dustin

TT

There are no specs in the book for K series valve springs. The only valve spring-specific information/instruction from Kohler is to install them with the closer coils up - or towards the head of the valve.

There isn't really that much seat pressure on these old engines to worry about it and I wouldn't be afraid to reuse the original springs -- unless you intend on installing a high-performance camshaft.

As far as a stock rebuild goes..... the only thing I can tell you is if you (or the machine shop) are concerned about them, you'll just have to buy new springs.

Thanks TT, it is just a rebuild nothing special I just didn't want to put something back in the motor that wasn't any good. Thanks for the info.

Dustin
