MaineDad 85 #1 Posted April 1, 2011 ...EARLY APRIL NOREASTER TO BRING HEAVY SNOW TO NEW ENGLAND... .LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE UP THE EAST COAST TONIGHT AND CROSS CAPE COD INTO THE GULF OF MAINE ON FRIDAY. SNOW WILL SPREAD OVER ALL OF NEW HAMPSHIRE AND WESTERN MAINE BEGINNING LATE TONIGHT. HEAVY WET SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED BY FRIDAY MORNING. RAIN MAY MIX IN WITH THE SNOW ALONG THE IMMEDIATE COASTLINE DURING THE DAY ON FRIDAY. PRECIPITATION WILL COME TO AN END BY FRIDAY EVENING. STORM TOTAL SNOW AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 6 INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS A WIDE AREA...WITH AMOUNTS UP TO 14 INCHES POSSIBLE ALONG THE COASTAL PLAIN JUST INLAND OF THE COAST.
