i have a 1277 and just got the engine referbished. its running great but for the life of me i cant figure out how the throttle and choke cables were routed. anyone got pics to help me. it the only thing i didnt get pics of. thanx.

I don't have pictures right now, but let me see if I can confuse you and try to tell you, the throttle cable goes just above the belt guard (some tractors have a flat bracket the cable gets clamped to and is held in place by the top belt guard bolt) and under the exh. turns to face the fuel pump, and gets clamped to the stud that holds the breather cover on, then the wire inside hooks to the piviot on the blower housing.

choke goes down under the blower housing and up to a bracket sticking off one of the blower bolts, that is where it gets clamped, then the wire hooks to the carb/choke lever.

Maybe this will help?

Some of the ones that I have seen have a straight bar on the blower shroud and others have have an "L" shape (bellcrank).

thanx larry. kelly, how much would it cost for u too mail me thelinkage rod , thelong bolt thing that goes in breather cover, and bolt and linkage on blower housing?? if u have it that is. ???
