Looking good, The welds look good. Are you overhauling the engine? Love them Dana 60's especially the closed knuckles. Congrats on the license.. Remember, they take- em away faster than they give-em to ya. Have fun

I LOVE the D60 D70 axle setup. They are really heavy but will take a beating. I am not overhauling the engine just rebuilding the turbo because it has some play and adjusting the valves, fuel pump and replacing some lines etc.

Went to the beach today  covered in sand but got the floors painted after cleaning about 5lbs of sand from sandblasting out of the cab. Then continued to seal/treat all the channels of the cab.

The last rust spot. UGH! I have about 30hrs just in the cab work. It should last forever with the amount of treatment I have done to it. This area is prone to rust by the heater because leaves dirt and pineneedles gather behind it from the cowl vent.

A little off topic but really exciting! My dad bought a RUST FREE pretty straight shell for our 1966 dart wagon which needs a new unibody. I took our dart around the block a couple times beating cob webs out and laying down rubber with the 360 power......

Surfaces prepped by washing with water and sponge scrub then dry. All surfaces then wiped down with laquer thinner. Brakes windshield and engine by this time next week! Yes i did all this today by myself including the body work over the last month!

Gonna be a beast when done. I want a Cummins sooooo bad it hurts!!!! My truck is pretty much set up for one. Got a Gm 4500 tranny, V-10/Cummins bellhousing, Tennessee Diesel Conversions motor mounts and engine crossmember. Truck has heavy duty springs up front already so should be OK there. If not there are plenty of trucks in the junkyard to get some springs from.

My truck started out as a 2wd crew cab dually. I unbolted the front suspension, got some custom spring mounts to make it 4wd. Had the frame shortened 14" so now it's a crew cab short box, a truck GM never made till 98 I think.

Front axle is out of an 86 Ford van, moved the perches in to fit into a Gm truck. Rear is a 14ff from a van, these axles match the front track width. (ever notice on 4wd's the front tires stick out more than the rear??)

Using a divorced Ford 205, gonna be twin sticked eventually. I need to get going on this truck, it sits outside, it won't fit in the garage, too tall and long. Plus there is way too much crap in the garage!!!!!

Anyway here is a link to some pics.
