Fiscalyear 0 #1 Posted February 6, 2011 Looked for the correct place to start this thread (Couldn't get POLL to work for me ???). Moderator, Please move if necessary. Some time back I counted how many Batteries and Inflatable Tires I had on all of my STUFF. My wife thought I was crazy but I'm sure she doesn't hold the title as the only wife that thinks this. SO.. with that line and sinker dropped in the water let's hear from YOU. HOW MANY DO YOU HAVE? Some of the answers should be fun. HINT: How I started. Just some ideas. Numbers per item will vary, I'm sure. Automobiles - count as 1 battery, 5 tires (some of us have an inflated spare ) Times the number of vehicles Lawn tractors - 1 batt, 4 tires Weed eaters - 0 batt, 2 tires Tiller - 1 batt?, 2 tires Moving dolly - 2 tires Emergency generator - 1 batt, 4 tires Yard trailers - 2 tires Utility trailers - 2 or 3 tires varies Wheelbarrow - 1 or 2 tires Handicap scooter - 2 batts, 4 tires Bicycles - 2 tires, usually WHEEL HORSE TRACTORS - ? batts, ?? tires YOUR STUFF - ? ? If you contribute your input you may want to note DEAD BATTERIES and FLAT TIRES but, who has any of those? This may be too time consuming or impossible to count (a few of us maybe) but should be interesting none the less. Better keep count with pencil and paper - it's easy to lose count. Come on, here's a fun challenge, I hope. Oh yeah, if I recall I had something like 10 - 12 Batteries and about 40 - 45 Inflatable Tires. Surprised myself. If this gets me laughed off or kicked out of the forum - I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE, I'll just look for red things out in the snow. HA-HA Eddie

Kelly 1,028 #12 Posted February 7, 2011 Holy crap, I can play, to start I race demo derby cars, and figure 8 cars, so I have LOTS of spare tires, last count on spares for the cars 340 or so(sold some last year, had more), around 100 tractors at 4 tires each= 400, pile of spare tires for tractors at least 75, 6 lawn trailers 2 each =12, big trailers 3 one tandem with 5 tires, two singles with 3 each =11, 7 cars/trucks here 5 each=35, 3 wheel barrows=3, two dolleys=4, kids bikes if the count? 12 at two each=24, I bet I missed some some place. that is 904 tires, I bet if I counted them it would be closer to 1000. I'll have to get back with you on batt.

Fiscalyear 0 #21 Posted February 7, 2011 HEY GUYS - didn't say this would be easy. Just wanted it to be fun. Makes you take stock in your inventory. OR IS THAT inventory of your stock? John, count storage items if they have batteries and tires and belong to you. I've gotten a few chuckles out of this thread and hope you have/will to. I'm guessing the piled up snow is keeping a few away from count their stored stock. Eddie

Kelly 1,028 #24 Posted February 8, 2011 Well I had to think about the batt.'s and if we are counting stored stuff, I have a few more tires to add, I have 7 more cars and a dually wrecker at my cousins house, =41 I forgot about the power washer =2, and the motor home =7, cement mixer =2, that's 52 more tires to add to the list, that puts me at about the 1000 count on tires, and I have batt. counting core ones too, around 60 or 70 with out going out and counting.
