Good luck Terry and a speedy recovery. My brother had similar work done a few years back. His doc urged him to move his arm in small circles as much as he could to help speed his recovery. Maybe you could talk your doc into prescribing a wax on, wax off therapy? Who says grooming a horse can't be good for ya?

Thanks guys. Sorry no pictures. Also sorry for my typing SO SLOW! I'm used to using two hands (I know where the "home" row is) :D and not used to pecking with one hand. Bottom line here is surgery went fine, though receiving the block wasn't so fun, nor was having my whole arm numb (I'm now just getting some feeling back).

Thanks again guys for all the well wishes. :WRS:

Terry, you had a block, not general anesthesia? I had a block for my hand, but was totally gone for my shoulder. The block didn't bother me, just felt "weird" not having a left arm for a while.

But the general anesthesia, that was great. I must have really liked it, I didn't want to wake up. My family was told all went well and I'd be out of recovery in 20 minutes and they could see me. 2 hours later...... I'm still sleeping. LOL

I use all my fingers when typing too. One handed is a real pain. I think missed my second hand more at the keyboard than in the shop.

It'll all be history in no time and when others run into similar circumstances, you'll be like me. (sorry) "I remember when mine was done......."

I had both, the block and general anesthia. Though my arm was numb for about 12 hours, at least I didn't have any pain during that time.
