I can't afford weights like that but would the front end of a C81 hold up a really heavy bumper? I have some angle iron and an old 4 inch box beam I could weld together.

I think the front end will take the weighted bumper but it might steer hard at slow speeds( like we go fast right  ). Front wheel weights would not affect steering and you would get the same results.

jrfan882008,

Did you pour the lead then drill where the lugs went, or did you build in holes?

Also what prep did you do to the old rim to make it a "mold".

That's my problem, no steering at low speeds or starting off. Sometimes the frond end comes up.

If they're just lead, I can melt some and pour it into a mold of some kind.
