3 point drawbar 2" reciever hitch

Recommended Posts

Nick

After stoping for the Nephews birthday I couldnt get back into working on the Load Ranger so I dug out some scrap and built a drawbar reciever mount. I had a new Cat 0 drawbar that I mounted some 2.5" box tubing on with some 1.5 x 2 standing up for the top link. Looking for scrap I even found an old drawbar hitch in the pile to use. Didnt turn out to bad for a quick project that was just to kill some time. Have to build a smaller one for the LR. Gave this one to my brother for moveing trailers at work but I did bring home our weight frame that might get used on the LR.

Well the receiver hitch did look handy. So I had to start building the Load Ranger version. It needs a few more bits that I should hold off until the 3pt is working and I can test fit them. Did I say the LR hitch would be smaller ? Might not need all the weights when its done.

Something like that would work on the back of my D-200 with the loader..

Or would it be to hard on the 3-point cyld.???:D:thumbs:

Billy, I dont think a weight frame should hurt the 3pt. I guess it would be kind of like if you left a tiller or box blade mounted all the time.

Hi Nick,, I was just thinking of the weight bouncing up & down,,if it would stress the cyld.. :D:P But I like the idea !! That way you can still have a hitch & just add weight when you want it !!:thumbs: I have the Ark 500 loader on a 1974 D-200, but it will still get light on the rear !!
