Thanks for the comments! I want to use the actuator to lift the plow. I was thinking I would have to mount something off both sides of the frame and have it come up like the piece of wood shows. But then I can't open the hood. Kevin suggested to mount it off the side. I guess I could do that. But would it lift straight? Any other thoughts????

I would mount it underneath, from the rear axle to the manual lift mechanism.

This will give power lift for all your accessories.

Hey Dez,

I think I've seen a similar setup somewhere with it mounted to one side. The top "bar" rotated across to both sides. It should be strong enough.

However you do it, you're certainly off to a good start with your scoop. It looks very nice.

Just a thought,

what if you went along the frame on both sides back behind the engine with 1/4 by 4 flat stock then angled up like your board from them? That would spread the stress out more on the frame. and not interfer with the hood
