72 Electro I'm working on

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd add some pics of a friends tractor I'm trying to bring back to life.

He has high hopes for it & hope I can do him right provideing the tractor cooperates?

Under all the new features its a model 1 7255...or 72 Electro that has been upgraded with a K341 16 HP Kohler, Dual HYD lifts...I can only guess it was used to lift a tiller on the back & run it off the open pulley at the pump?, Has a highly modified PTO engagement linkage, The back of the axle has been drilled & tapped with set screws tightening the slop on both spindles, A newer style front tach a matic was welded onto the front of the frame...which is broke anyhow.

It's an interesting tractor that has many mods from a PO & has led a hard life.

He will be giveing me his 67 JD 110 with headlights & HYD lift for makeing the repairs, some cosmetic work & adding a good deck.

I did say he was a friend right?...LOL

It looks like it might have some C-161's parts in there. If you can't get this one to fixed and you really want a JD, I still have my 210.

But, seriously, it does look like you have your work cut out for you.

Stephen,

Time permitting, I'd really like to see the details of that dual hydraulic set up. Looks like a fun commision, with a really nice pay off.

Thanks,

Greg B.

Greg I plan on getting a few more pics tonight...I'll have them up in the morning showing better detail of the HYD valves.

It looks like it might have some C-161's parts in there.

Terry that be the "Mutt" part.

Looks like a twin spool in use from a D. Been contemplating that one myself, if I could find one cheap enough....

Looks like a fun project Stephen.

Here is the latest pic of the lectro mutt.

I'm not saying it's a fun project...just want it done & gone...

But going through & fixing some of the normal wear stuff...replaced the previous broken frame & will start the wireing probably tonight.

Still like to try & move the rear cylinder off to the side so a slot hitch can be used?

Atleast my friend be able to use standard implements or brinly with the adapter & have down pressure...I think?

Latest pic......

Progress is progress, so that's a good thing. I bet you can't wait to get this one done so you can claim that JD 110.
