What gear oil to use in 416-8

Recommended Posts

Like the tile says what gear oil do I use for a 416-8. I believe this would be the Eaton model and it is not a hydro.

Thanks

All the hydros of that era are either Eaton 1100 or 700's. What you have is an 8 speed "Uni-Drive". It takes 80-90 weight gear oil.

I could be mistaken but a 416-8 is an 8 speed manual transmission I think it is not an Eaton Model. It was Made By Wheel Horse. I put 85x90x140 gear lube, holds two Quarts.
