Thanks all , nice words , had another good time today, finnished the engine strip , bore has been honned out out ready for its new rings, re faced the valves and lapped them back in and got some of the steering parts painted, hope the new engine parts get here soon , am keen to get the engine back together and painted and back on the tractor, can then make a start on the body work :thumbs:

Thats looking really nice. How did the rust repairs come out? I dont think I've seen one as bad as that so far.

HMMMMMMMMMM a little mishap today , the roll pin would not come out grrrrrrrrr so when it went in half, had to make another one .

Wes thats the biggest pain in the butt about working on Horses...rusted up stuck roll pins!

I bought a set of true roll pin punches & have had much better luck getting them out now.

Looks like your new part will hold up well too. :thumbs:

Is that a toolpost grinder down there, on the lathe? That is, also, a nice arrangement.

Something I found that helps taking roll pins out is drilling the hole in the pin alittle bigger. That gives the outer surface more room to collapse alittle. Works for me.
