Hallas 0 #1 Posted January 8, 2010 I had a new cutting edge put on the truck at work, and took the old blade home for the GT 1142. Someone had welded a blade on that was worn to hell. Drilled new holes and bolted it together. 5/8" thick, dontcha know!

jdwheelhorse 0 #4 Posted January 20, 2010 Not to take over the thread, but does anyone know the original size of the wear bar? like the width of it.

bork 0 #6 Posted January 20, 2010 Not to take over the thread, but does anyone know the original size of the wear bar? like the width of it. I have a long frame, 42" wide blade. I bought used, in good condition, I flipped the wear blade cause it was just starting to wear the backing. So presuming I am the 1st to flip it . I just measured the new half, from edge to center of bolt. which measures 1-1/4" . So double that for the total width of 2-1/2".(when new?) Maybe someone else will chime in, that has a new blade, to tell you for sure.

squonk 38,916 #9 Posted January 21, 2010 I just bought a 48 " 4 inch (2 inches beveled) cutting edge for the loader bucket I'm having built. Cost me $28.00. I don't think I did to bad. They build those big Pro -Pusher loader blades there and that's what's on them.
Wheelbearing 49 #10 Posted January 21, 2010 Not to take over the thread, but does anyone know the original size of the wear bar? like the width of it. I have a dXF file of the blade if your interested or I can make a drawing off of it. I made a few 2 years ago at work on the laser. I made them 1/4 thick though.
