I did not have any trouble getting the auger to line up with the holes to put the rod back in. I did it by myself no one else around to help. I don't think I will get to use it on the snow that is coming (4 to 8 inches) B) I will Have to use my other snowblower

Well my luck is holding out!!! I went to our local Tractor Supply Store today, bought #40 roller chain, comes in 10ft sections also some connecter links. Came home stuffed my face, then went to work on the blower. Supprised my self I had the old chain so I laid it on the floor un rolled the new chain laid it down beside the old chain, made sure I had them booth laid out even, tied a small piece of wire in the link I wanted to take off. Then ground both sides of that link flat took a big screw driver forced it in between the rails,Wallah poped right into. There also was a connecting link in the box with the new chain. Here are some pictures :omg:

The first is a picture of the stuff I bought.

Apr0301.jpg

The next picture is what is left of new chain, enough to make a spare chain.

Apr0303.jpg

The next picture is with chain on the drive sprocket.

Apr0305.jpg

The next one is on the bottem all adjusted, ready for a trial run.It spins fine by hand, also in the right direction. :D:D

Did every one have a nice Easter? :D I DID :D

Well today I installed the cable for the shute. A fellow should have at least 4 hands for this job. The cable keeps curlling back up, one to hold one end while he feeds it into the little hole, one to wind it counter clock wise, one to keek it wound on the turning apparatus and so on. If you do one you will know what I mean!! :omg: Any way I got it done here are some more pictures.

Glad to see that I'm, not the only one who is going to be restoring a snowblower. I have everything apart and ready to be painted. Once painted I will put everything back together and place her on the tractor. :) Anyway, great job on your machine there! Wow, it looks great!
