RJ-35 with sickle bar mower...

Recommended Posts

I have been wanting a early RJ, but my pockets aren't deep enough. Luckily, I did some trading with Devin (fritz) today and ended up with this jewel.

I now have some major research to do... I know very little about these beasts... Luckily I got a running/ driving one to start out with. :scratchead:

John,

You don't want that old mower, you should go get yourself a nice box store mower that you will not have to work on :hide:

I figure I would be a nice guy and take that one off your hands.. Like I told Devin, it is a nice machine and the sickle bar to boot !!! :scratchead:

LOL... I would maybe trade it for a good "snapper".... :hide:

If anyone has a belt guard that I can copy, please let me know. A detailed drawing with measurements would be just fine. :scratchead:

I'm heading out to the shop to take it for a spin again... These things are FUN to drive (once you learn to drive them :ychain: )

Well, right now here's the plan...

I'm going to put new rubber on it, all the way around. AGs in back and tri-ribs in the front.

Repaint the wheels.

General touchup and fixing the minor stuff.

I want to do a full restoration on it, eventually... but I'll be happy to just have it in good working order until I can tear it down for a proper resto.
