Does anyone have a recommendation for the black engine paint on my 312-8. Truth is I am

not sure weather it's flat or semi.

I am doing a resto on the machine and would like to freshen the appearance of the engine.

Truth be known, I think it's somewhere in between a flat and a semi, but I think I'd go more toward the semi. It's easier to wipe down and keep clean for one thing. If I can't find a decent semi, I may just go with a Rusto gloss black for the one Im working on right now.

Zero, I used Krylon Satin Black on my engine for my C-125 in my avatar and it looks really good and came out nice. With any paint the paint on the exhaust flaked off a little but I didnt mind much.

I used high-temp black from an automotive store on the block and muffler, and semi on the tins. Looks great even 10 years later, and none of the hot parts flaked off.
