bell 11 #3 Posted September 13, 2009 You could always do a "big wheel" swap and use a standard dozer blade... Actually, I'm thinking that you can use a standard dozer with the stock wheels/ tires... but you will not be able to lift the blade as high off of the ground. There was a front mount blade for the newer Rangers... But I'm not sure if one was available for the early Rangers. :scratchead:
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,491 #4 Posted September 13, 2009 The blade listed is BDR-385 which was replaced by 6-3111. Garry

bell 11 #6 Posted September 13, 2009 Garry, thanks for the info... Didn't even know they had one for the early LR's... John, it's very easy... the hardest part on mine was removing the rear wheels.
Rollerman 290 #7 Posted September 13, 2009 Wheel Horse did make a blade, thanks for the part numbers Garry. You don't see them to often though. Here's a pic. They are a non trip type....hit something hard enough you can drive up over the blade. Also they have a 2 peice linkage, so if you find one make sure both peices are there. I don't have both parts so mine just sits...hopeing I can find the 2nd short peice. A short frame blade can fit under a 33R...but it doesn't leave much room. A member here Sorekiwi has done this. The big wheel conversion would work great like Jon (Bell) mentioned if your not to concerned about keeping your 33R stock or original.

More than a day late and more than a dollar short... came across this post today by accident. Here is a standard short frame blade on a '63 33R. I never have pushed snow with it, I suspect I wouldnt have much grip with those tires! There is a reasonable amount of lift available for the blade, as can be seen in the last pic. Lane Ranger 10,490 #9 Posted December 12, 2009 More Lawn Ranger dozer blades photos with lift arm pieces and frame atttachment for the blade. I believe the BDR-385 was the number for this snow/dozer blade setup. Two piece lift attachment for raising and lowering the blade: I do not have the original frame piece but I use this to attach the back of the blade to the frame:
