On my C-111, I have been using a 36" deck equipped with a Tech-O-Matic

mount. Bought a 48" WH deck similarly equipped but it does not quite fit the

C-111. The manual deck lift does not quite engage the available hole in the

deck harness. Comparing the two decks, there is an extra oblong hole in the

smaller deck harness that is not drilled in the larger one. Of course I can drill,

or switch the two harnesses, but is there usually such variation?

Not real sure. My brother has a 75 C-160, and he ordered one for my 05 Classic GT 315-8, and it fit his like it was made for it. But both of ours are 42" side discharge decks. The only differences may be rear vs. side discharge or cutting widths.

I guess my question boils down to- how many holes are there supposed to be

in the part of the deck where the lift lever engages the deck? The part in question

runs forward and back, just a little right of center of the deck. In order to properly

fit the C-111, there needs to be a hole, or slot, in that component that permits the

the lift lever engaging boss to line up with the hinged attaching bar, the

one with the "y" element. Without a second slot, there is too much distance for

the attaching bar to be engaged.

I'm wearing everybody out with this issue, not a big one. I'll just drill the darn

hole or switch the two harnesses and be done with it. Its just that I thought

all Tech-O-Matics were identical. They almost are.

Model no. not visible on my 48" deck. However, it is identical to

the deck pictured and sold recently on ebay, item no. 230357766650.
