  1. 1611 Transmission Pulley

Oh wow - I had no idea what to expect to pay, but it would be no where near $167! I was going to order a universal pulley for around $20, but I thought I'd see if I could find an original pulley first.
  2. 1611 Transmission Pulley

Not much really, 4" O.D. and 3/4" I.D. Made of cast iron and has 1611 casted.
  3. 1611 Transmission Pulley

I am in need of a 1611 4" transmission pulley for my RJ. Let me know if you can help me out. Thank you!
  4. The REAL Wheel Horse

Wheel Horses are few and far between here. I've never found an RJ or Suburban; had to get one from Indiana.
  5. RJ58 Steering Wheel/Shaft

I cannot remove the steering wheel roll pin on my RJ. I soaked it with PB Blaster for two weeks, heated it with a torch, hammered, even tried pressing it out - no luck. Looks like someone before me broke off a punch or something inside the pin. Anyways I have wasted enough time on it, so am going to make a new steering shaft and need to come up with another steering wheel because mine is junk. Has anyone used the new replacement Cub Cadet steering wheels? The Cub Cadet wheel is the same as the RJ, but has 11/16" hub diameter that is 40 spline. I am thinking of having a machine shop bore the hub to 3/4" and drill for a roll pin. Thanks for any advice.
  6. Bargain Deestones

Where did you enter the code on their site? EDITED: Found where to enter it, but it would not accept the code.
  7. RJ58 Brake Return Spring Anchor

Ah, OK - makes sense. Thank you!
  8. RJ58 Brake Return Spring Anchor

Right, but I do not see a hole anywhere to retain the spring end.
  9. RJ58 Brake Return Spring Anchor

OK, next stupid question: one end of the spring attaches to the anchor - where does the other end attach?
  10. K91 Made in Mexico

Hello all, I recently bought a K91 for my RJ58 and recently realized my engine was built in Mexico. It has spark and great compression - I added fresh oil and hopefully will try to get it to run today. What is the reputation of quality with this engine being built in Mexico? I just wanted to make sure this is a good foundation before I spend any more time and money on it. Thank you.
  11. RJ58 Hard to Roll In Neutral

I want to thank you all very much for all the help you guys have given me. I am going to walk away from this transmission project for a little while - I need a break. Maybe I will come back to it during cold weather.
  12. RJ58 Hard to Roll In Neutral

I did install new bronze axle bushings and I did hone them. The axles pass through the bushings during assembly just fine - I am not having to force or hammer anything together. I took the differential apart to do the new bronze differential bushing and put it back together. The differential works great outside of the transmission - smooth and the axles turn opposite of each other.
  13. RJ58 Hard to Roll In Neutral

Yup, all the pinion gears are alternating. All the pinions are 12-tooth - I checked when I put the differential back together.
  14. RJ58 Hard to Roll In Neutral

I just took off the left cover - the pinion gears are installed alternating.
  15. RJ58 Hard to Roll In Neutral

    - When I turn one axle in neutral, the other axle spins the same direction - not sure why because the differential was fine before I put everything together. It took all my might with two hands on the one hub to rotate the axle. - When I turn both axles the same direction in neutral, it takes all my might and the input shaft turns.
