  1. Pickup Truck Tire Question

cooper atr's all my trucks got em even convinced the boss to put them on the work trucks. there quiet they last and there great in the snow well worth the money if you ask me oh if you dont mind a little noise the st's are good too thats whats on my personal rig but they cost a lot more too
  2. well my plan was to just have it loop back to the tank with a pump but not pressurize it beyond what was there i could do an expansion tank i do have one the best i have room for is a 6 foot baseboard and the water heater is running anyway the waters never used for more than washing buckets and hands all the sterilization of the milking equipment happens in a different sink with an on demand heater that runs the water at 190 degrees for sterilization just a thought to cut costs this year i dont even know if im going to have time to get it done i will set some limits and what not maybe even an aquastat to kill the heaters in the tank if the temp runs high insurance may be the other issue im really thinking this barn needs concrete in the front anyways maybe it will get radiant in floor at the same time :notworthy:
  3. cool then i have the parts to do this now to find the time, the electric bill is in for the first round of electric heaters and none of the infa red is running yet and yikes!
  4. im thinking anythings gonna be better than the space heater and since the water heater is running anyway i dont see too much of a cost increase its a 40 gal in a 12x6' rm so i dont need much to heat it the water is never used for drinking just cleaning and its a dairy barn so everything is a code violation anyways
  5. ok duke or anyone else who knows about heating systems i have a quick question im the milk room at the barn we have been using an electric heater for years to keep the water pipes from freezing last year i put an electric hot water tank in (huge step up) my question is can i run a base board radiator off the hwh? and just have it recirculate into the tank? or would this cause problems im not thinking of?
  6. winter 2009 - 2010

kinda reminds me of this joke It was October and the Indians on a remote reservation asked their new Chief if the coming winter was going to be cold or mild. Since he was a Chief in a modern society he had never been taught the old secrets. When he looked at the sky he couldn't tell what the winter was going to be like. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side he told his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect firewood to be prepared. But being a practical leader, after several days he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked, "Is the coming winter going to be cold?" "It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold," the meteorologist at the weather service responded. So the Chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more firewood in order to be prepared. A week later he called the National Weather Service again. "Does it still look like it is going to be a very cold winter?" "Yes," the man at National Weather Service again replied, "it's going to be a very cold winter." The Chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of firewood they could find. Two weeks later the Chief called the National Weather Service again. "Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?" "Absolutely," the man replied. "It's looking more and more like it is going to be one of the coldest winters ever." "How can you be so sure?" the Chief asked. The weatherman replied, "The Indians are collecting firewood like crazy."

thats not too bad for a 68 road runner my uncle had a 69 he bought when he was 17 then in 99 i used it a a wheel chock for my fathers bucket truck i dont think ill ever live that down. when i was little my dad told me to go add a quart of oil to the cub cadet minutes after he taught me how to make "chainsaw gas" guess where i put it. my sister stuck the forks of the tractor through my stepmothers 2000 chevy suburban 2 days after she got it. and every time my father would put a new hood on the john deere stx 38 one of us three kids would bounce it off a tree its not all bad there just kids id say have a talk and explain to them that you want to be there when they wanna work on or play with the tractors. or like my gramps if i needed a smack he wasnt afraid to give it he gave me the worst a$$ whoppin i have ever had when i was 17 got caught smoking and gave my mother a hard time
  10. Flea removal

i used bombs when i moved in there was a nasty infestation the first round killed most of them then about a month later they were back so i killed the power to the house shut the gas off and doubled up every room with bombs including the attic and basement (wear a respirator when setting off this many) im 15 min i could not see in the windows and about 6 hours later it started to clear in the mean time i washed the three dogs and 8 cats (6-3 week old kittens) and front lined (advantix will kill a cat in 3 doses) them. i opened all the windows let it air for 2 hours then turned the power back on and put on every possible fan and slept in a tent the next day i vacuumed all day then did the rug cleaner machine thingy and haven't had a problem for 3 years now (all the carpet is gone tho) just remember flea bomb is flammable so use caution when going over the recommended amount of bomb per sq foot
