  1. Wheel Horse B-80 videos

Nice looking team you got there.
  2. new to 312 8 speed with Kohler magnum 12

312-8 is a great tractor. Treat it right and it will give you many, many years of service.
  3. And now...the Back Stories

    Very cool thread.
  4. 37" Deck on a 314-8

A handful of years ago I had a 312-8 with the 37" deck and bagger. Did not like the 6" wheels at all, so got a pair of"skinny" 8" front wheels and put 4.80x8" tires on them and it worked fine. Just another option to consider.
  5. 56 years later !

Even the $10,000 and above garden tractor's aren't built to last 50 years.
  6. 656 what to do

    Definitely fix the 656.
  7. Ag tires on 314-8

Spend a little more and get the Carlisle's. You won't regret it.
  8. Last minute C-81

Very nice! The Commando 800/B-80/C-81 are my favorite models.
  9. Going to pickup the nos 420lse

Awesome machine! I'd be tempted to put it in the living room and treat it like a fine piece of furniture. You'd be the only one around to have one in your living room! Let us know what you do with it.
  10. I'd be more worried about the snow load on the roof's more than anything else. I thought us Michi-ganders were tough, but you folks must be some kind of tough the rest of us can only dream about.
  11. Finally got the pics, 312 Hydro

Looks to be a very honest, hard working little tractor. You'll love it!
  12. Yard Clean Up....A little at a time

How about a picture of the "A" with the chipper on it?
  13. Brinly Sweeper: A Craigslist Story

That is impressive. Good customer service is hard to find. I sold a John Deere sweeper last fall, just a re-badged Brinly.
  14. setting idle on a k241 (and a random question)

The idle speed may be as high as it is because your old Kohler is splash lubricated and air cooled. Too low of an idle speed may result in insufficient lubrication, and not enough air flow over the engine to keep it cool. The "fins" on your flywheel draw cooling air through that screen on your blower housing and direct it up over the cylinder head to keep things cool.
  15. 312-8 new purchase but now an issue

Hard for us to say with information provided. Could be an ignition issue also. Sounds like a good carburetor freshening and a good tune up may be in order and see if that helps. If you have a Magnum engine it will not have points, condensor, or an external coil.
