  1. A-100 Engine Re-Power/Replacement

Had a work horse lt1637 with the twin briggs and it was a great little tractor till second gear went out and I got rid of it.
  2. Not much just pushed a little snow around and let the big D stretch her legs
  3. Lets see the snow rigs!

We got about 5 inches of snow last night and about 7 degrees but the D160 had no problems pushing it around. The cows definitely don't seem to mind though.
  4. 314-H snapping drive belts

That pully is definitely not turning! It looks as if you belt has alot of pressure on it also.
  5. PTO assembly rebuild. Oil? Or grease??

The pto bell for the blower and deck? I use high temp red grease in mine. Don't over pack it because if you get it on the clutch disk it wont hold and the pto will get vacuum stuck to the shaft with too much grease.
  6. Wheel horse D series

Nice! How does the D handle the FEL?
  7. So I been noticing a trend with the D series that's different from mine. My D160 is a 1981 that my dad redid in the late 80's early 90's back before you could get decals for them and I noticed the front decal on it around the head lights is black so I decided to google it and everyone that came up redone or original was red. Did certain years have the black decal and others red? Was red more common? Closer pictures to follow
  8. Lets see the snow rigs!

I spy a 420 lse in the background! Did you buy that originally or did you get the luck of the draw to find it?
  9. D160 repower?

Many factors. Could have been a stressed rod, lack of lube, a tab bit to high of RPM, too much side load, may have just up and broke the thing is no one will ever know what truly caused it.
  10. We have a JD 455 that we bought to replace our D160 (big gas hog and 48" on 3 acres gets expensive) the 455 is definitely a beast but the 60" deck works that yanmar but the power steering is nice but the hydro I dont care for the tuff torque in it it doesn't have a cooling fan or oil cooler so it gets hot (thanks JD)
  11. Any update on the hoods? That really sucks they got smashed
  12. Lets see the snow rigs!

Very awesome to see! I know everyone is thinking summer and back to mowing but there definitely is something enjoyable about seeing these ol girls playing in the snow! I definitely enjoy snow blowing in the evening as it gets dark just to run the lights!
  13. D160 repower?

The onan if taken care of will last you a good long while! You will need the mounting plates for it though. If you needs parts or gaskets don't get the ebay junk contact boomers_influence he's a member here that deals in onan parts new or used he'll get you what you need.
  14. Electric Modification question

Yes you'll need that for the starter. I agree there is a better way to mount it
