Took a little road trip to grab these today. The paint is faded on the blower but its in really nice shape otherwise. The tiller is solid and should clean up OK. Look forward to running these on my C-120.

When I got the over head door for the barn, they had shipped it on a panel from another door so I used that as my work bench it was 2' wide and 16' long it's held up real well for the 15 years since I did it.

If you want to cool your shop, you're going to have to put another fridge on the other end!

I did 2 harbor freight boxes plus and end box in between and then built a bench on top. This is when I first put it in, the top wasn't painted and it isn't messy yet, But you get the idea!! Randy

The bench top in my shop is 2 X 6 yellow pine and it is supported at the back by 2" angle iron bolted to the wall and the front is supported by parts cabinets and a couple of brackets bolted to the wall. Corded power tools like saws-all, porta-band etc. are in the roll out box and extra engines and transmissions are on wheels. Nuts, bolts and washers are in bins and drill bits, taps and specialty hardware are in parts storage totes.

You might be thinking of the Jeep Jr. or the Jeep Trac. The Jeep Jr. was a 2-seater with a Kohler 18hp, and had about 7 prototypes made between 1971 and 1980, It was never introduced to market. The Jeep Trac was 'proposed' in 1980, and was a modified C-195 (I think), and painted yellow with plastic fender and hood. Some prototypes were made, but it also was never marketed. They were written up with pictures in the September 2009 issue of Lawn & Garden Collector Magazine. Jim

This isn't a workbench but when I was moving in my shop, I build shelves just high enough that rubbermaid containers would fit. You get a ton of storage and don't lose any floor space.

Both of my Wheel Horses are highly modified. The C-120/180 with an 18 Briggs Vanguard 5 lug front hubs and wheels with 6 ply tires. 1/2" heims joints on the tie rods new fan gear steering rod with nut adjustment ( not sure what model WH it was for I ordered it some time in the early 90"s ). Turned a new front axle pivot pin out of a Mercury tie rod. Built a front bumper and 2" receiver hitch to the rear. Added a oil pressure gauge and I'm sure I forgot something. The 312-8 has reinforced front spindles the, frame has been reinforced with 1/4" x 1 1/2" steel down the the bottom of the transmission mount. The rear fender, brackets and gas tank has been raised 1 3/4" for 25x900x12 rear tires also 2" receive was added braced off the top of the transmission. free image hosting sites I can't say what modification I like best, maybe the next one. The foot rest has been reinforced If you look close on the last picture I spot welded 3/8" rod under the out side edge. They were bent when I got the tractor I beat them back straight.

The Wheel Horse bug definitely bites hard! Lately Ive been encountering deals that are just too good to pass by. Even if it means having more "scrap" laying around than usable tractors. It does make for some fun projects though! Here are some pictures of some of my recent pickups. Ill post more as I get it sorted through.

Picked this up today to fill in some blanks on the c-120. Shame the deck is toast, but $50 doesn't buy you a new one.

Well as humble as mine is, here it is anyway: The solid wood top one is 2 in. thick and it is 6 feet long. I use the roll around a lot. I made it back in 76 and it has seen a lot of use.

Careful Eric, because she really likes that one you may be getting another, and another, and another that tends to happen rather easily once you get bitten by the bug.

Craig, I get up real early every morning and bake a fresh one for each birthday! Been doing it all my life.

Favorite Mod ( to the Wheel Horse or any vehicle ) has got to be TIRES ! Ag's & Tri-ribs for the Horse . Kenda Bearclaw HTR's ( 8 ply radials ) for the wheeler . And ...today .. The Silverado is getting 4 spankin new Firestones . Will post pics of that later today .

That is absolutely true Dick !!!! Trina did more than me on disassembly. And all the messy paint and rust removal on everything but the nuts, bolts, washers, and a few small parts. She did about 99 percent of the painting. She did a lot of the reassembly as well. I don't know what the actual ratio is but I can tell you she really took the task on with a lot of drive () and stuck with it to completion. She's amazing to work with.

I have 2 44" Harbor Freight tool boxes. Removed the wheels and put a 2x6 base under them 1 1/2" mdf top covered with galvanized metal. I have a seperate engine/transmission building workbench.

Finishing up on my good GT-14 finally. New paint done (better pics soon) new muffler being custom built. Ordered new tie rods. finally found a decent steering wheel. It’s just temporary until I find the wood grain one I want for this. Beats the broken one that was on it.. I got the canopy home. It goes to canvas shop next week. Hoping I’m going to be allowed back in the GT-14 club..

Does anyone know where they went? I believe there were five of them made? Some of you guys know what I'm talking about and can post pictures of it. I can't find any?

Battery box is in and mounted. Fuel lines 100 % done. And starts and runs with the key now too. Sounds mean VID_20180811_132330.mp4

Gave the 42" RD deck that came with my new 416 some attention today. A classic Saturday project! Looks pretty good from 10' away but up close she's hurtin'... Remember what happens in the Alien movies soon after that spider thing clamps on to someone face? This looks similar... (how on earth do people manage to do this?) anti seize Hopefully this will reduce the clippings that get all inside the frame and transaxle area... I put an ALU plate underneath this to cover the blowout hole (I dont have a welder) I almost put the belt on the outer pulley but came to my senses The cove base chute extension just fits.. If I cant cut at a height of >3.75" I might not use this tractor as a mower for more than 20 feet (I like cutting my grass high). It looks darn close!

Is you temp a 5/8" pulley?? if it half inch the belt would ride out further increasing your speed. Was the kohler top speed limit set correctly 3600??

Round 2, heading out to wheel it again. The ignition timing was too far advanced, running way hot. We got that dialed in, made some cooling modifications, now it’s time to run her hard!

A solid core door makes a good bench top, plus many are 3 ft wise, but you can cut them to the width you prefer

Not alot of progress, just buying up parts for this project. Got an awesome seat from @BOB ELLISON, man is this thing nice. Transmission kit, tie rod and drag link from @wheelhorseman. New muffler stack, and regulator. NOS transmission drive pulley from @smokin joe

4" is correct for 8 speeds...hydros use larger pulleys

I agree with above. Studs and lug nuts, custom stacks and rear hydraulics. Only one tractor for reference and it's not complete.lol
