Here are a few things I have done to the shed I bought last year. Its by no means finished or super organized but its a start.

Among all the cosmetic & creature feature mods, I think the addition of hydraulic lift on my plow tractor would be my favorite.

The simple things, like loaded tires... and the cool things like adding an 8 speed to Putt Putt. I like the mods that make you wonder if it came from the factory that way too, like how awesome that K-181 fits under the hood. And a cherry bomb... that’s just hot rod fun.

I guess one of my favorite mods would be my led lighting! Love the way they light up my horses!

Wrapping the front tires with #40 roller chain for better steering during snow blowing and snow plowing

I have 2 44" Harbor Freight tool boxes. Removed the wheels and put a 2x6 base under them 1 1/2" mdf top covered with galvanized metal. I have a seperate engine/transmission building workbench.

Actually I do reasonably well on nuts bolts and hardware. Parts not so much.

Does adding a FEL count as a mod if you built it yourself? Otherwise probably, converting my old Raider to get the tach-a-matic and a two inch receiver on the back.

Relocated battery to under seat of C160 after adding gear reduction steering. Also trailer hubs & wheels in the front and studs in rear hubs... Almost forgot, added backhoe off of D250...

From project to running!

The hoe is a little over the top for most horse owners to build or do as a modification so I was think'n more like modifications everyone, or at least the majority can use for ideas and do to their own horse. Although EVERYONE should have a FEL and Backhoe horse!

I am officially declaring this rebuild: DONE !!! At least... To the point of full functionality. Known things to do: Add a couple spacers behind front wheels. Paint a few small things. We're going to add a steel reinforcement plate below the seat pan to stiffen it up some. Today I did the fabrication on the air cleaner and also made up a couple lower hood hinge adapter plates. We needed the plates because the hood was about 3/4" too far back... Bent, wrong, who knows? Here's a few pics. On the left is a piece of scrap I started with for both projects. On the right is the top brace seen in the following pics. In this pic you see the above brace, a lower one I made from an old tool box lock bar, and the extension pipe between the carb and air cleaner. That pipe is a piece of 1-1/2" id to od exhaust adapter cut to 5" length. How it sets with hood closed. And here's a shot of the lower hood hinge adapters. I cut the ends of the piece of scrap and drilled out the elongated holes to a round 1/2". Then drilled the holes for the other end with the existing tractor hinge pins to 3/8". Also drilled the hood holes from .46/.48 oblong to round .5 inches. After a fair pile of grinding and fitting they went in... Nice and snug. End result is it moved the hood forward 3/4" and up 1/2" for better engine clearance. I can't thank you all enough for the help you've given us.

Wheel studs on anything that is going to have the rear wheels changed more than once a year especially when the tires are fluid filled or have wheel weights attached. AG tires on anything that will see ground engaging attachments and on some that don’t because they look cool! Stacks on tractors that aren’t used for mowing (don’t want to accidentally tag a low tree branch!). Outside of those, it would be tractor based. Some of mine have more mods and some are pretty much stock...

If you looked at my shop you would swear that I just open the door, give things a toss & hope for the best. Well, that maybe kinda true. Oddly enough, I usually know where almost everything is though.

Here is a pic of the DeeStone 4.00 x 8's on my 1076. I used the stock rims which had 5.50x 8's on them.

Finishing up on my good GT-14 finally. New paint done (better pics soon) new muffler being custom built. Ordered new tie rods. finally found a decent steering wheel. It’s just temporary until I find the wood grain one I want for this. Beats the broken one that was on it.. I got the canopy home. It goes to canvas shop next week. Hoping I’m going to be allowed back in the GT-14 club..

My son moved to New Jersey last month, started a new job and will be marrying s wonderful young lady he met 2 years ago while serving as a college. Student Missionary. He sent me this picture of what I believe is a 1966/67 Sears tractor with a snowplow. He said it looked operational and was stored in a Post Office building they were doing some work at. Zoom in and notice the “US Mail” decal on the side of the hood. Now or that I’ve got him spying tractors for me I just need to hone his skills to spot the “Red” ones. Yes I can see some New Jersey to Texas wrangling in my future 🐎 Of course this will be “Plow horse“ wrangling since I grew up on a “Farm” with lots of tractors, cattle and hay hauling, but no horses

Two that are equal in my opinion out a couple dozen that come to mind. Additional steel bracing under the rear fenders of the Restomod GT14 build I did. Really makes a huge difference. Adding more modern attach-a-matic brackets onto my Gt14’s ditching the original style Mule contraption. i guess converting to points is a good one as well.

ST/10 Appears to be 73-76 but still a Roper built machine. Stout low gearing and American made stuff! Your son has good taste! I attached a pic of my 1969 Suburban 12 with the same basic running gear! 🇺🇸

I wouldn’t know where to start. An easier topic for me would be “what have you left stock and why” Overall I think the Eaton 1100 transmission swap in the gt14 would be my favorite. Mainly because I pulled it off and it kinda looks factory. Second would be the aluminum fuel tank just because my son welded it up for me. Makes it special to me. I don’t think I could ever sell this tractor.

So air filter is done. New plug wires are on. Some body panels are going on now. Looking good

I totally understand the logic there! What I am actually Infamous for is putting something away that I wanted to keep safe... And I keep it safe... From myself.

I really try to keep parts organized, each brand tractor gets its own tote for extra parts, I also have been wire tying a label with the part number. I also have tote boxes for kohler and briggs. I still have a bunch to organize and label but it makes sense since I only know what is someday when I am gone hopefully my kids can make sense of it and sell off. each tractor also has a binder with the manuals and other info. yes I am organized

I gotta agree with the studs and lug nuts, led bulbs, seats cause most any tractor you get needs one. And 2 of my horses got stacks. So I suppose you could say I follow the herd.

Stacks for sure, get that exhaust up in the air and out of my face.

My B80 has quite a few changes. All tires bigger. Added fluid weight. Smaller engine pulley. Exhaust stack. ALL our tractors get rear lugs. Lotsa cool stuff !!!

Seat springs on my late 60s models. A little gentler ride and slightly longer reach for the clutch pedal are nice.

I suspect most of us have modified our Wheel Horse's in some way or another. What is your favorite mod and why? I have installed 15 inch, 3 spoke, soft touch steering wheels on all my tractors along pedals from a late 80's eight speed on my GT 1642 as I like that style better than what it came with. I have also insalled LED light under the floor boards of my primary mower in case is starts to get dark as I am finishing the lawn. Bill

Doing some adjustments on the 50 and 42 inch Wheel Horse Sickle Bar Mowers on the blades and lift handles. These things needs to be well greased in storage and operating! Changing the wobble box plug from recessed Allen type plug to external pipe plug for easier access to fill.

Not alot of progress, just buying up parts for this project. Got an awesome seat from @BOB ELLISON, man is this thing nice. Transmission kit, tie rod and drag link from @wheelhorseman. New muffler stack, and regulator. NOS transmission drive pulley from @smokin joe

I am currently working on a "low hour" 520 H engine that was in the weather like the one in question, never again, the rust was a serious issue. A valve seat was loose, the intake leaked and the governor is bad, just to mention a few faults. Now about the proposed tractor: Muffler tabs broken. Heat shield missing PTO severely rusted. PTO brake missing. Front axle is straight, not a desirable type, Bend in seat support says broken. Spark plug wires are redneck. Steering wheel crocked, possibly needs replaced. Seat spent. What are the rubber mounts in the rear fender? Cab mounts? Bolts missing. Cover plates missing. General appearance is junkyard quality.

I can't find a single thing that hasn't been messed up. Run!

I stopped by your booth today skonk and you were no where in sight. Someone said you got thrown off the grounds for making rude comments about Farmall guys mom's.

Don't have a picture of it, but my table is 3' wide by 5' long...top is 1/2 inch plate steel..legs are 6" by 6" - by 1/2 inch angle iron..got all the steel at scrap price...table weighs 600 ;pounds and you can beat on it all day and not hurt it..put a six inch vise on it too....goes with the garage when I sell...no way to move ti .. just my opinion, but I wouldn't get a lightweight bench ( table )...you will invariably want to pound on something or set heavy objects on it...

Bringing my daughter to college and we got stuck in a traffic jam in Harrisburg PA on I-81 south. Saw a blue Ford Explorer hauling a Wheel Horse and a Craftsman roto-tiller trying to merge. Told my wife to “flag him in!” ... would rather stare at the backside of a C-100 than look at the grain/feed truck I was stuck behind . Who was it? Are you a member here? Does anyone recognize the truck or tractor?

Maybe one of our "law enforcement" guys can run the tag number.

Many of the above, and a few more. Highest on my " to do when time allows " is a 3 cylinder diesel conversion. and a hydraulic servo steering ala automotive style, and some other far out ideas I'm contemplating. Can anyone tell me what steering wheel it is that you all talk about?

Lug bolts and nuts,15" 3 spoke steering wheels when I can get them and 520 gear reduction steering.Lug bolts make mounting rear wheels easier,15 inch three spoke steering wheels fit my hand better and 520 gear reduction steering with 4 lug hubs for ease of steering.

My eyes so to many of the wrong colors here!
