Well, I found a little rj that I couldn't resist at the Big Show. Thanks to @stevebo I even have a set of fenders and tool box for it. She's a little rough, but appears to be pretty honest. I have removed the hood and wet sanded it to see how much original paint is left. I hate to do a restoration and take away all of the character it base earned over the years. It needs trans seals, gaskets, and bushings desperately and they are on order from Lowell. I picked up a sweet running little k91 from @BOB ELLISON. I've got a schnacke recoil from @Jake Kuhn And am waiting on an oil bath from @Aldon. Upon sanding the trans date code a little, I have what appears to be 02-8. I think that would put it as a 58 which matches the reward positioning of the gas tank straps, but it does seem to have a 59/60 gas tank. Please speak up on the trans code if you can help. I went ahead and made and welded in the broken set of rearward tank straps. Time for a little shut eye!

We camped for three days at the Adams County Fairgrounds for the Wheel Horse Collector's Club Wheel Horse Tractor Show. Attended this year with Rodney Burger (lawnman_56), Richard Burger (Cebu, Phillipines -farthest from home attending the Big Show in 2018), my brother David Ralph (Travling_Dave), and me Lane Ralph (laneranger). We had a great time! Enjoyed catching up with all the Wheel Horse gurus and collectors! Viewing these photos should make you feel like you were there! Only thing missing is engine sounds, smoke, and rain ! 104.MOV 169.MOV 170.MOV 190.MOV 227.MOV

Thanks to another very generous Redsquare member... Trina's tractor now has a "new" pair of axles. So Tonight I changed out the axles in the differential and assembled the transmission.

Some more progress... When we end up painting the topsides maybe we will clean up the spray booth

@dells68, @pullstart, Or whoever else for that matter. You come on up to the mountains and bring a tent. I got plenty of tractor projects you can work on. The company is bad. The food is worse. It's okay. There's tractors here.

Had great BBQ at C J 's while at the Big Show. Took a while to get there seems like the young lady working there did not know where they located or it could have been @squonk questions.

As long as we are talking about food...WHX??? (Jim) gave me a Wisconsin Sausage that he had brought to the show. It is a Jalapeno & Cheddar Summer Sausage from StoneRidge Meats. This is just excellent...so yesterday I checked out their website. It is worth the pictures to check it out. https://www.stoneridgemarket.com/

Location, location, location, we can't get no chicken biscuit up there, and they can't get no whoopie pie down here.

I changed tires for 25 yrs. I take them down to the tire shop down the street. Dismount & mount $10 a tire. You asked for the easiest way.

Sometimes you can have too much RPM on the sickle. Does not give the grass/weeds a chance to get in between the knives. Plus ground speed has to match the cutting action.

Does pretty good, seems to pull a lot of grass up in the pulleys and jam it full of grass. But needs some new blades. Gotta find me some rivets and replace all the knives. It's all fun using the attatchments as they are intended for.

I love seeing that young wheel horse restorer “in-training” laying down that sharp red liquid and having fun doing it!

This place is only about 10min from me and is a weekly stop for us. They always have excellent meat there. They have so many specialty meats that it's some times hard to decide what you want to try.

Come on down any time Kevin. I've always got one project or another going. Wife wishes I spent as much time work I g on the house and yard as I do on the farm and wheel horses. Heard a new one on TV the other day - something like "Happy Dad, life's not so bad." Kinda liked that one myself😂!

My wife decided she wants an auto so the 417-A I guess will become hers. We’ll see how much interest she’ll take in it. Doubtful it will be as much as your wife. Of course, thats if she don’t take the 953 I hope to be getting. She was eyeing those at the show.

She went with the stock size all around so 6-12 rears and she's ordering 4.00/8 tri ribs this morning for the front. Going for the "tiny farm tracta" look. And also practicality of good traction and easy accurate steering in dirt. I'll most likely fluid fill all four at some point. The paint is: We were a bit surprised by the finish on the supposedly "NOS" muffler. Trina's been cleaning everything with acetone prior to painting and when she tried to wipe off the muffler which was quite old.... The "old" paint came right off and revealed some surface rust. Scotchbrite pad made short work of that. Should be good now.

    Yup AND I'm still married !!! 😂😂

I told my wife that I'm not going to buy anymore tractors. I also told her that if a nice clean unmolested C-141 Automatic comes along at the show I might have to buy it. Well you guys can guess what happened!!

Yesterday was more painting... The exhaust is silver high temp paint. I got three out of four tires off the rims tonight. New rear Carlisle ags showed up yesterday. We've decided to order new fronts as well..... Maybe some tri ribs. Trina spent a few minutes straightening out the cylinder head.

Hello y'all. Just picked this litte gem up this week. My 1st Wheel Horse & my first lawn tractor! 1988 312-8, got it with a snow blade. The hours were kinda high (3100) but hopefully I made a good choice. Used it to cut the grass (0.5 acres) for the 1st time today. Mowed great, didn't miss a beat. Still plan on going through the whole thing chage fluids, filters, check blads, etc. but so far I love it

Here's my 655 resto that I picked up for a song here in Nashville. I put in 8 hp Kohler engine to replace the h60 techumseh that was on it which was trashed.

The tines on the tiller look really worn out from the pics, but like @953 nut said the implements are worth the $200, but if you want a decent tiller PM me.

While in PA I went to a McDonald's and asked for a chicken biscuit. You would have thought I had two heads! Talked to Kevin @pullstart And he said they don't have them in Michigan either. Is it just a southern thing? If so, a lot of you guys don't know what you're missing. Here's the sign outside our local McDonald's this morning.

Thanks to both Bobs (Maynard and Racin) for reporting both the good and the bad results. I am waiting for the insurance to cover the removal of my cataracts. They will not pay until my vision cannot be corrected with glasses. I guess they don't consider night driving a necessity. I avoid driving at night unless in an emergency, and night driving in the rain is not possible. I often wonder how many accidents are caused by night drivers with cataracts.

Sorry to hear about your issues, Bob. The dr explained the potential complications with this and I really didn't like the percentage at just under 10%. He also said that the vast majority that have complications have some other problem with their eyes. I don't have any other issues so I'll hand on to my optimism that I won't have any problems.
