11 pointsWhat a great day at the Big Show! @Coulter Caleb said @AMC RULES and I had to get our Red Square Limited Edition Trading cards and get trading immediately! He’s winning with the most cards traded so far! And we’re wishing him a Happy Birthday today too! Thank you @PeacemakerJack - it was great to meet you and talk with you at the Big Show!

10 pointsThe Birthday boy is still out...but i’m Sure he’ll be excited once he comes to... He is a miracle kid in a way...14 years ago this morning Kelli was at 35 weeks and having some odd symptoms and so she went to see the doc and I went off to work. She called me an hour or so later and said “grab my bag and come to the hospital, we are having a baby today.” She had preeclampsia and both her health and the babies were beginning to decline. Caleb was born at 11:59pm weighing 4.5lbs! He had to spend a week in the NICU before they allowed us to load him in the GTO and take him home for the first time. Hard to imagine that this young man who is nearly 5’7 was the size of his head then. I thank God for this guy!

Here’s @Vinylguy Thank you so much for the collector cards! We are having a great time exchanging cards with everyone who is here today and can’t wait to see who gets all the cards when everyone gets to the Big Show tomorrow! Thank you for sharing @ACman’s card with us too! And I caught Wild Bill in the background! Looking forward to his hosting the Tractor Parade tomorrow!

5 pointsSo Tail-End Thursday seemed a bit redundant since so many of us posted tail shots of our tractors for Wheels & Tires Wednesday. I think Thursday is gonna have a couple themes. Let's call this one Team Shots Thursday AND Tail-End Thursday! Post up pics of all your machines lined up (like a team). I know, it's a tall order with short notice but I also know we all have these kinds of pics stashed away...I know I do!! Of course we still want pics of your Tail End (tractors only guys! This includes you @squonk !) Got a cool rear? Maybe a nice 3 point? Custom hitch? Post em up!

4 pointsDad passed on this bird bath and I got tired of changing the water every day since it holds so little. Got to thinking about converting it to a fountain / bird bath with a large reservoir so I only need to change once in a while and can top off when needed due to evaporative loss and birds splashing... Best part was it cost $0.00!!! Used old pump and tubing from my son's salt water tank and an old painters bucket from the garage...even the coral was "free" thanks to my son's tank supply of left over stuff... I think it came out pretty nice and water changes are a breeze - just empty the 5 gallon bucket, refill and plug pump in...

4 pointsEthanol is an acid - it is great at attacking pot metal and aluminum-based castings like that valve. That and the damage it can do to an air-cooled engine's valves is amazing in a short time. Using 93 octane won't hurt it, as long as it's non-ethanol. Ethanol added 93 octane will be a better base fuel than the regular pump grade 87 octane, but that 10% dilution of ethanol is still damaging in the long term. Sticking to even lower grades of pure fuel is always the best route and they charge more because it's pure fuel, not some garbage that can be upgraded with ethanol. The worst example is what most people are running in the vehicles/equipment - standard pump grade 87 octane with 10% ethanol added - the base fuel you're buying is total garbage and the 10% additive is required just to get it to the 87 rating. Every person I run across putting that crap in a gas can for their mowers and other equipment gets an education on what they're buying - and the damage they are causing by doing so. I'm on a one-man mission to get the stuff banned if at all possible, I'm tired of fixing other people's engines and having my tax dollars prop up one Lobby that basically feeds a whole network of subsidized plant owners getting rich off our misery. We have 4 plants in my area, their owners are really enjoying the benefits of the destruction, and will lie in any way they can to continue that practice. Not out to make it a political argument, but it needs to stop. Sarge

3 pointsGot to the J&C Ranch about 5 min after 5pm and Jim had some grub ready for us. It’s a big trip and we needed to start out right! “another burger Caleb?” “Of course!” Says Caleb without hesitation! He is gonna be 14 in about 5.5 hours and in about three months I predict that he will be taller than his dad. All the coolers, tractors, attachments, tents, sleeping gear loaded? They better be because we got to get on the road...no more time to waste! I texted dad and asked him, “Can you believe that your garden tractor is on its way to PA for a Wheel Horse Show?” His Response... “ No that never came to mind. It just was necessary to cut the lawn and plow, work up, and cultivate the garden. Never thought that the old Horse would become a legend!” Well said Dad! Looks like a beastly worker to me! @19richie66 recognize that hat on Caleb? I’m not sure if that will leave his head this weekend except maybe if I can threaten him to take a shower...
