14 pointsMy 68 commando 8 after working the lakefront at our redneck lakehouse. She fits under the fifth wheel perfect. Got to get her cleaned up for the long trip to the show. It's not how well it mows fast, but it's how well it cuts.

12 pointsSo the Front End Friday thread seemed to go well. Let's try to post up some great close up side shots! This is my C-121/8speed (which will be at the big show!)

12 pointsPicked this up at the local WH dealer yesterday. I like Chargers and didn't even notice the engine is a K341. Turns over and has compression. Guy who traded it in told dealer it ran. Not the most attractive horse in the stable...

12 pointsMy house is at the base of a long & tall hill, making for near flood-level water run-off. My basement was flooded recently, so I ran a shallow ditch behind to divert the water away from my house / garage. I'm not much for digging, so I improvised a 'sod cutter' to mount onto the A-frame of my dozer blade. This is a 7" dia well casing, about 1 foot long. I sharpened the lead edge to cut the sod, then squashed it to an oval shape of about 5" high. With the solid link in my dozer frame, I could put lots of down pressure to force the cutting edge of the 'sod cutter' into the ground. It worked out pretty well, then only had to rake out the sod strip. Made a 2nd pass to get the diversion ditch about 4" deep...enough to divert water flow.

9 pointsWhat all hood ornaments are there for the horses? The only one I knew to be an original was the one in the first picture. Are there other types? If so can I please see a pic of an original one different than the one I have posted. P.S.- I am working on several different designs and materials. Would appreciate input on what designs WH owners would like. I have included a pic of one "rough draft" prototype design.

7 pointsIt’s been awhile, but I’m back. The last proper update was just over a year ago, undercoating happened last summer then nothing till about a month ago. Well what a difference a month can make, ‘TIS DONE! Well all bar wiring the lights, getting some decals and sorting out a new silencer. Here are some pics from a week ago If you would like more pics of it nearly done I’ll post, or want to wait for the finished item... let me know.

6 pointsThey only had the one style and from all I've seen it ended in 1975. Different styles would be great but I'd suggest including an original reproduction in your selections.

5 pointsWell dang it, I am short 4 new head bolts till tomorrow, but at least the new OEM Tecumseh muffler came in today, and big thanks to Terry the Vinylguy for making the motor look spiffy new!

5 pointsI bought my Wheel Horse new around 83, and did whatever I could every year to keep it going. This year, grass was growing fast and I had no time to replace a spindle, so I bought a new Cub Cadet to hold us over. I appreciate my old friend even more after the $2000 cheaply made plastic toy that I'm hoping will hold up to our yard even a year or two. Found a spindle, got it on, good to go. There is nothing like an old Wheel Horse.
