I recently made some die cut vinyl decals for lane's after market hubcaps and have had some interest for them. I decided to list a set of 8 decals. 4 of the 3.375 inch die cut vinyl decals for the 12 inch hub caps and 4 of the smaller 2.25 inch for the front 8 inch hubcaps. The larger decals install ok on the 12 inch moons without much trouble but they are a bit difficult to apply without wrinkles to the smaller front hubcaps. The smaller decals will work easier on your 8 in. caps As you see in the photo I have cross hairs marking dead center of the decals for easier alignment and application. I have 6 sets in stock. They are a bit time consuming but will make more sets if there is any interest for them.

Online means shipping. Shipping chemicals add to the cost with hazardous permits ect. Go down to Napa, Autozone ect. TSC has an excellent brake cleaner and Walmart has a carb cleaner that will take the fur off of your carcass!

Jerry, I'm hoping he'll be tickled. I'm off until next Monday, so I'm going to try to get a couple of days and the red on it. I was down there with him last night and asked him if he'd like to have one like this someday. I told him he might have to wait until he's a little older and he said he wanted one, but the cg8 he thinks I'm fixing would be ok for now. I don't know whether to give him the seat for Christmas, or just hang a key on the tree. I'm going to have it backed in so he can see something special on the back and have a big bow on it.

Just finished priming the rest of Emory's tractor. Gotta run the wife to urgent care - pink eye! I'm going to come back and seal it. Hopefully next time I post a pic, all the pieces will be painted. By the way, don't laugh at my fancy paint booth! I also got a pic of the black in the sun. Me likes!

It should be evident that anyone who puts a 13 horse Predator on a low hour anniversary model cares little for originality.I am wondering if anyone has had problems with the front hubs beating out.I will say that no WH I own will ever be painted green but to me they are tools. If they weren't they would be in a heated garage and dusted every day.

The 2stage I have now PO ran on a 314-8 then 315-8 with manual lift, and the 1 I let get away was on a C160 manual lift and both guys said it wasn't that bad with the assist spring (biggest spring in pics), also if you search, there's a member on here with video of 2stage on a manual and he's not straining to lift it, it also has a compound lift linkage which I believe takes less effort than the single rod in the single stage thrower, Jeff.

Since the chassis and gearbox are now operational i thought i would take a look at the bonnet which was in a very bodged state, fibreglass had been used to reinforce the metal and i thought it must've been in a bad condition underneath all the filler, I managed to file the filler off which revealed just what a state the bonnet was in and then the fibreglass which was on the underside just peeled off as it was stuck to paint and rust. Before photos After some filing The only way to fix it was to cut the whole section out and weld in fresh metal, it took some bending to make a piece that would fit but its worked well and its now very strong.

@Ed Kennell you holding out on us at the Big Show .

No issue at all IMO, and was it me, then I would go with the trailer hub solution and 4 bolt rims for the front. MUCH stronger than any std. GT wheel bearing. Strengthen the "bend" on the spindles, and you can easily use that on a loader GT.

Where's Eric @ericj ? I'm sure he must have at least one 2 stage on a manual lift. I never had one Jim, but I think they have a lever system that reduces the load on the lift arm. When I had my single on the manual lift C-120, I had 3 lift springs that balanced the blower so It actually floated.

Thanks! Yup, it is the duplicolor OE match line of acrylic lacquers. I'm pleased with the effect. It will get a couple of coats of enamel clear after I do the red.

Jeff, if a seven HP single phase motor is cost prohibitive check around for a smaller motor and change the drive pulley size to allow it to run the compressor at a slightly slower speed. https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200660731_200660731

No it started as a "lets replace the vanity. You know we also need a new tub". Bought a tub. Couldn't get it in without destroying the wall. Ended up replacing the bathroom and the closet doors with wider ones. Still no tub going in without taking out studs. So sell the tub we bought and then decided on a closet and walkin shower. So more drywall, concrete board. Then had to wait to get the shower floor poured. Ran out of floor tile and lowes quit carrying it. Found a place in St. Augustine that ordered it for me but had to drive 2 hours to get it. Made a weekend getaway out of it. So now I'm at the point where I need wall tile and the guy fudged my order. No tile till after 12-12-17 so I have a couple more weeks to finish working in the yard. Yes I am slow but I like to do it right. Don't want to have to do it over. No rushing it. Thats it in a short story.

I had to remove a rounded lug bolt one time. I decided to drill it out by starting with a smaller bit with oil just to to provide some relief and a path for the next size to follow. It loosened enough with the next bit that I was then able to just turn it out with a socket. It took a while but I got it out.

Just brought this home. Its a sears gt 14 variable speed tractor. I have been keeping my eye on it past few weeks at local scrapyard. so this morning i put my 500CCA John Deere jump battery in my truck and a can of carb cleaner. got to scrapyard and i looked around. it was still there so i went back to the office and told the manager i would like to buy it but only if i can see if it will fire on carb cleaner. He said ok so i took truck back where tractors are and jumped the solenoid with the jump battery and it spun will compression sprayed carb cleaner into carb choked it and it fired right up. so i never seen the bracket on the back before. i am thinking about saving that bracket back for hanging weights on. no hood or grill wiring needs gone through and throttle cable needs fixed. and will need belts. all 4 tires are shot. but hey engine show potential. if all else fails ill sell engine later on off it

Guilty as charged here too , don't sweat that small stuff - it just leads to stress that isn't necessary . It's taken so long to get things done lately I'm starting to wonder if I'm going forward or backwards...hard to tell some days . Sarge

Mega props to Fred here for sending me the hydro pulley!! Got the tractor mobile this past weekend with huge success. Transaxle seals were replaced and refilled with oil. Runs and rides awesome. Got the plow under it and moved some earth. Great feeling!! The 10 horse will likely do the job, but wont know for sure until i get a deck under it in the spring. Thanks all!

Well, it sure is worth buying a 5 or 6 hp single phase, 220 v motor for it....last a lifetime.. or like Ed said, put a gas motor on it..probably the cheapest way to go... Or hey, look at this: https://www.ebay.com/p/6-4-HP-3450-RPM-Single-Phase-240v-56-Frame-Electric-Air-Compressor-Motor-7-8/2201446942?iid=281404873364 300 bucks with free shipping.. 6.4 hp

What started out as a simple task of moving my 6-1/2' x 12' utility trailer to unload it's contents back into the Shed Repair Project after building a new floor turned out to be a really bad day . I figured the weight of the trailer and it's load was probably around 2,500lbs or more and the big D-180 should be able to handle it . Used the 3pt hitch and an adapter to lift the trailer tongue and off I went...until I got to the end of the north drive and the pump coupling on the hydro failed - badly . In hindsight - the trailer probably weighed closer to 4,000lbs the way it felt behind the truck ... Now , the trailer had to be taken off the tractor and put on it's jack ....which didn't work out too well loaded that heavily . Since the trailer was built with 2x3 angle iron on the tongue it decided to fold itself into a pretzel - despite the wheels being blocked tight so it couldn't move . It fell over and I had to use the HI-Lift to get it off the ground . The sight of the trailer falling over in the rear view camera on the Dodge is still well embedded in my memory - I knew that was going to be another large project . The coupling had an earlier repair from last winter's failure - so a pto pin was driven through the hole to get it out back to my work area to be fixed later . It made the short trip , but just barely and the tow valve was frozen tightly . As it turned out , the damage to the D was a much bigger issue..and cost 3 times as much in total . The pic doesn't do the damage any justice - that entire tongue was bent badly - Sand blasted , new tongue built and waiting for paint - Painted , as it sits now awaiting the lights , wiring and re-install the floor decking . All the while - got more work done on the D's pump problem . Found a great used pump , as well as a spare coupling in good shape . After a lot of machine work ($$$) we came up with a solution and everything was back together... After all this I found that both the original mufflers were completely shot and falling apart - so another project ... Bought a pair of 180* mandrel bends , two cone transitions and a pair of @jimkemp 8" mufflers (very nice, btw) . Fabricated the flanges for the engine's exhaust ports , as well as the pipes for the stacks - Spent a lot of time rolling the engine over on the starter to slowly prime the pump back up and finally , after several months - fired Big Ugly to test the exhaust before painting the stacks . No leaks from the hydro thanks to some new o-rings and backer rings from @pfrederi on the hydro manifold , that was a big relief . A bit shocked at the sound of the big opposed twin - somewhat like a Harley running on the choke or something - but overall not obnoxious or too loud .... D180 startup.mp4 If you don't want to wait for the MP4 to load - here's the YouTube link - I don't think the camera's microphone will show the sound too well , but so far I like it . Took a ride around the block , nice having this beast back up and running , finally . Now to finish that dumb trailer....pretty much wasted nearly the whole summer getting all of this done plus the hours at work . I'm about ready for a break but need to get ready for winter . Sarge

Well you don't mention what that actual value of the "trade" is. Depending on that figure however, it would seem to moi sticking a new $200-$300 220/240V electric motor on it would make it a pretty reasonable deal.......IMO.

I'd go with an Onan twin or a big honkin Wisconsin!

Best way to avoid any problems on your part is to leave it on the pallet and ship it to me.

Easiest way would be to replace the motor with a 220VAC one. Otherwise, it is a bit of work to manipulate this 3 phase motor to work with what you have.

Thank you. I'm very pleased with how smooth the hood came out, but am a little disappointed with the fender pan. There are a couple of spots that you can see my bodywork. Honestly, I think I missed it because I spent so much effort on the hood and got careless. At least it's not up there on that big ole flat hood!

Thanks for the update Dave. I'll never forget my first trip up to your shop back in 2010. Was supposed to meet Mike McGuire (mikesrj) there, but he had dog trouble. So I roamed around that "sea of red" for hours. After about four more trips over the next five months, I came home with a basket case C-120, B-80 and lots and lots of other stuff, and turned it into a "show queen" B-100 in time for the 2010 big show.

I am not the kind of guy that can look at a test panel/area and tell if the paint is going to come out the way I like, which can be daunting when trying to paint something. I thought I would like those colors, but wasn't 100% sure, when I saw them on your 1st pic of the colors you were using... That black looks FANTASTIC. And I sure like your idea with the seat pan, etc....when you shoot that red, I can "see" it, now...gonna be EXCELLENT!

Between all the vet bills for my boy Rosco and the other four legged critter my wife brought home, tile money has been slim. Decided to sell the kayaks since we never had time to use them. Kayak money = Now I can finish the bathroom. Not to mention I have been nickle and diming the gt14 as much as possible. Priorities guys, priorities. "Our" new critter , Daisy somewhere around that if not longer. But I have gutted the entire room and built it back up from a concrete floor and wall studs. That has to be worth something.

I know they were originally Massey Ferguson selling on eBay for $200+ but I found them on a junked Craftsman for $40, and they fit these deep dish 520 rears and I can hide them behind my wheel covers plus run the Cub weights on the inside at the same time, 35+50 and maybe 5gals fluid yet per side should be plenty for pushing or pulling.
