14 pointsAs many of you know @stevasaurus is not able to make it to the "Big Show" this year, but his stunt double "Steve On A Stick" is filling in for him and had a nice chat with Mike @squonk and Aldon @Aldon at the bus stop bench this afternoon! Steve on a stick will be making the rounds of the show this weekend, no telling what kind of trouble he will get into!

8 pointsKC and Richie...I certainly hope we would see tons of pictures after this. Although, the tease is stimulating for sure. We will have to stay tuned...I have a feeling they are not done making me feel bad about not being there. You gotta love this site...it is family. I brought Chris (wife) down here into the Man Cave to see this thread and she knows and misses the show also...she has been there every year with me...7 or 8 shows now in a row. There was a couple of times that I talked about taking a year off...it is a long haul...and she said she wanted to go. It's the only time I take her out to dinner. and it is like 5 or 6 dinners...she is into that for sure. The guys went to the Italian place last night...and if all things remain the same...they had excellent food and great atmosphere. Dang I miss being there.

8 pointswas Steve on a stick standing sideways when we stopped and talked to you guys earlier...totally missed him

6 pointsWell there are only a few things I look forward to each year and yup, one is the big show. This year my youngest daughter is graduating high school tomorrow and obviously I can't miss that.(Although I did ask her if my wife/her mother could just video it so I could go to the show! You can imagine the look I got!) These dang kids keep messing up my plans to have fun. So although I'm not happy about not attending this year I'm also very proud of her and her achievements. She graduated VERY high up in her class and wants to become a doctor, an orthopedic surgeon. I can barely spell that!! My plans to buy an LSE are put on hold for a while so I can give my money to Loyola University in Maryland!!! I hope everyone has fun, please post pictures. See you all next year.

6 pointsJust did a Skype with Squonk, Alden, Bob Ellison and Jay (JWPH)...excellent...was like being there Thank you Skype and you guys. @neil all these guys went to the Texan tonight in Chambersburg. They were still out of Guiness from when we went there.

6 pointsI have to tell you Steve, the comfort inn lobby bench is just not as happening a place without you or the MN boys.

5 pointsI just picked up my first Wheel Horse, a 1996 or 97 520H with 356 hours. It runs great, but looks like it was stored outside from the surface rust I'm going to need to work on. It came with the 2 stage snowblower, but no mower deck. I'm really looking forward to using the snowblower on my 500 ft driveway come winter. In the mean time, I want to set it up for mowing, so I'm looking for a 42 or 48 inch deck. This brings up my question on the mule drive, from the picture can anyone tell if this is the drive for the 60 inch deck or will I be able to use it with the smaller one I want? Oh, lurking on this forum already cost me $250. After seeing it, there is no way I can live without the pedal mod. Thanks in advance for the help

5 pointsThanks Richard, here are a few more. Thanks for the clock Terry. See Y'all tomorrow.

-
4 pointsThank goodness Craig! I really enjoyed meeting you last year. See you in the morning. Be safe driving in!
-
4 pointsDave, your input on this site has been an education for a lot of us and your ability to meet the parts needs of so many of us has been a blessing. I can recall lots of times where your input saved the day. I pray that your health issues can be resolved and that you will continue to be a part of RedSquare!
-
4 pointsI dunno Aldon....... them MN horse thieves might be best left at home to avoid all the rustling they somehow manage to do! Steve on the other hand....yes just wouldn't be right without him!
-
4 pointsToo far a ride for me . I just click all the picture threads and it FEELS like i am there . An advanced to all who take the time to post them
-
4 pointsHopefully they will take lots of photos for you and the rest of us that couldn't make it this year!
-
4 pointsYou guys could probably sell those as old time hand fans to keep the 'skeeters" at bay, personal cool down devices, and deflectors to bat raindrops away. No suggestions as to pricing.......you'll have to test the market threshold price wise. Let us know what your market survey reveals. Skoal!!!

4 pointsHHHHOOOOOWWWWAAARRRRDDD made it and we had a great time at the Italian Kitchen and tailgating afterward. Steve just so you know I take no credit for your likeness showing up!
-
4 pointsWell we got Steve on a Stick , where is the infamous "Mash Pole" @857 horse should have invaded the beautiful Pa. countryside by now.
-
3 pointsFor sure it's not the same without you here Steve . Heck this is my only second show and definitely not my last . Everyone here is so willing to help each other out . It really is like one big family . For example when returned to the show after dinner @stevebo came up to me just to say hi , next thing I know he's wet sanding and buffing my 1057 and a huge !!!
-
3 pointsThanks 953 really fine pictures, I'm missing the show all ready.
-
3 pointsThursday is the best day. Craig is not going this year??? That is not good...show will not be the same with out him also. What's up with that.??

3 pointsThe 48" deck is great. Wide enough to get a lot of mowing done quickly and efficiently, but not so big and heavy it's hard on the tractor frame like the 60" deck. The 520H has plenty of power to mow through tough grass even with a big deck. Just keep the blades sharpened. One drawback with a big, efficient deck though. Less seat time... Welcome to the addiction!
-
3 pointsIts great what others will do to help out people in need. Glad to see Steve made it. Wish Richie on a stick could have went.
-
3 pointsThe BIG SHOW is just too far of a drive for me...about 5 1/2 hours...so I will NOT be there. I had even loaded the engines in my S-10 and spotted the fee, and made room / plans to load up the bulky stuff, and even put 4 new tires on my truck....needed tires anyway. However, I'm not going to take the risk. Once again, thanks for all your good-will comments.... For ANYONE willing to make a drive here, I will / we will... work out a lot price for EVERYTHING...or on an item-to-item basis. Within the next few days, I will try to post some pics and make a list. I am in n/w PA at zip 16433...about 40 miles south of Lake Erie.... 80 north of the Steelers. direct email is: daveoman@windstream.net

3 pointsYou are correct Buck. I would never use a rear discharge deck in thick high grass. I only use my rear discharge decks later in the summer when the grass is thin and slow growing and I do not plan to collect it. I have 48 and 42" decks, but early in the spring when the grass is heavy I prefer to use the side discharge 42" to windrow it and then clean it up with a sweeper. My 42" SD on the Raider 12 regularly mows the tractor paths between the fields and has mowed an abandon property that had not been mowed for two years. Without a doubt, not all tractors perform alike. The C-160 with the 42" SD deck is one of the best mowers. Plenty of power to handle the heavy tall stuff and the 42" decks extend out beyond the tires enough to make trimming easy.

3 pointsI live about 40 minutes away so figured I 'd shwing by and take a look. Here's a teaser . . .. have safe drive and see you there
-
2 pointsI have never met an overgrown lawn that a WH could not handle. Just raise the deck and use Low gear at wide open throttle.
-
2 pointsChecked in and doing recon at the Comfort Inn/Suoer 8. So far no sign of friendly's.
