What do you guys think of my raider 8 with my front mower. I took the duals off and put turfs and hubcaps on.

I got my $60 front mower attachment working tonight. I had to make yolks get wheels and even make a mid mule drive. It all works good. I made everything from a picture too.

Welcome to the Machine Thought I would post up some recent modifications to The Machine prior to up coming plow season. After a good season of plowing last year it was time for some upgrades, not because what I had did not work, just wanted try to make it better. So I started with some new Firestone 16-6.5-8 tri ribs, and 23-10.5-12 23 degree bar tires, added an 1054 hy pump, with new seals and spring, welded cylinder rebuild with new hyd lines and lift cable and adjustable tie rods from @wheelhorseman1000. Also ordered up a 12" shear and moleboard from Brinly, and to hold the front end found an old cub that needed to be squashed for the weight on the from to hold all them ponies down. 5th( don't know how it moved it was 1st) picture is last years, all others are with modifications. Bring on plowing season.

8-29-1987 “La Bamba” is a #1 hit for Los Lobos and, posthumously, Ritchie Valens In one of pop music’s most famous and beautiful turns of phrase, songwriter Don McLean called the date on which the world lost Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson “the Day the Music Died.” But while three rising young pop stars may have died on February 3, 1959, their music certainly didn’t die with them. On August 29, 1987, nearly 30 years after the most famous plane crash in music history, Ritchie Valens, the youngest of that crash’s three famous victims, made a return of sorts to the top of the pop charts when his signature tune, “La Bamba,” became a #1 hit for the band Los Lobos, from Valens’ own hometown of Los Angeles, California. Richard Stevens Valenzuela was a 17-year-old San Fernando Valley high school student when he adapted “La Bamba,” a traditional folk song from Veracruz, Mexico, into the vernacular of rock and roll. In climbing to #22 on the Billboardpop chart in January 1959, “La Bamba” became the biggest Spanish-language rock-and-roll hit in history, though the young man who recorded it did not himself speak Spanish. This interesting fact about Ritchie Valens’s life did not become known to many until the release of the hugely successful Hollywood biopic La Bamba, which sent the song from which it took its title on a second run up the pop charts, culminating in its ascent to the #1 slot on this day in 1987. The Los Angeles alternative rock band Los Lobos was a natural choice to record the La Bamba soundtrack. Though their own work is difficult to categorize, Los Lobos were longtime veterans of the L.A. club scene who could tear through early rock-and-roll classics as easily as they could open for acts as diverse as Bob Dylan and Public Image, Ltd. Though their posthumous memorials to Ritchie Valens (“La Bamba” and “Come On Let’s Go,” both from the La Bamba soundtrack) were the only top-40 hits ever recorded by Los Lobos, their under-the-radar pop career includes many unique and critically acclaimed works (e.g., 1983’s Will The Wolf Survive? and 2003’s Good Morning Aztlàn) that fell just far enough outside both the pop and Latin mainstreams as to miss being true commercial hits.

Yes. It could be that. Use some aggressive star washers on one corner of the engine mounting. You have proven you have ground issue.

Good evening every one! I recently ran across all this Wheel Horse madness looking to see how small a garden tractor cold get and still "look" like a tractor....little did I know I would find they get pretty small and they still do tractor work! These little machine's amaze me. My brand new 22hp Kohler craftsman mower would probably break in half if I ever hooked a plow, or disk to it. I'm very excited to be here and learn. And maybe figure out some good places to look, I can't find one within about ten hours that is affordable lol....but I don't give up easy!

I have used the 25% coupon online and had the engine (13 hp) shipped to me, even though the HF store is only five miles away. All they can say is no! The trick is to not talk to anyone.

Well it's different. I have no clue how you would go around trees. I'm only 16 and I made all the parts I needed from a picture.

I cut 2 slots in the bolt with a jigsaw and I was then able to crimp it a bit and then unthread it. The one slot cut into the threads by a small amount but when I ran some diesel through it to wash it out, the plug held the diesel so I'm thinking it's OK. Thanks to all of you for the various tips and tricks. I definitely learned something from all of this and I'll be happy to have my horse back in the field. -Chris

Ok... Great advice, all. If I understand the concept, the sharp edges of the star washer will pierce the paint and make direct contact with the frame. I guess I can do my best to scratch some of the frame paint off where the motor mounts to the frame as well as a star washer. I hope this does the trick.

I needed a trailer so I could take my D-250 to the shows, so I found a $300 6foot by 10 foot trailer but it needed work. I got home and rebuild it, have before and after pictures hope they load right. Still needs a tail gate and a new set of ramps

A bit late to comment but I have run into this before over the years on various stuff, I use a small propane torch to heat/cool a few times and lightly drive in a good quality torx "star" bit to grab what material is left from the hex pattern

Put a steering wheel and rear tire back on that and it would be still better than any of the big box store tractors. Come to think of it, that is probably better than big box store tractors as it sits!

Having been a successful small business owner for many years, I will tell you that a thief and liar has no place in my business. If you owned a store and this guy was a shoplifter, you would call the police and have him arrested. There is no difference. He stole, you have the proof, and he needs to go. If you confront him, he will tell you he is sorry. But is he sorry he stole? No. He is sorry he got caught. Let him go.

After almost two years of down time I finaly got around to retesting my 1990 520 h. After I bought it I noticed it was leaking oil from the oil filter mount and that the motion control was always in a bind, as well as finding a crack in the frame and because it fell outta the truck bed. I had to weld in reinforcements on the frame, replace the hood with a nos non vented one, replaced the gasket and cleaned the mess, also installed one of matts foot controls and gear reduction steering . Then it sat for awhile, last weekend I was considering robbing some parts off it then decided to get it going instead. I'm more than happy with it now and noticed that it was really fast? I had to do some sweet talking but got my wife to race me across the front yard with my 520 hc..... Same ground speed! Must have a leftover 89 hc gear that was used up in 1990
